The "iVita" Cluster: 13 Years of Innovation, Collaboration, and Breakthroughs in Health Technologies
Founded in 2011, the "iVita" cluster has been successfully operating in the health technology sector for over 13 years, uniting 34 members and creating added value both in Lithuania and internationally. The cluster emerged from existing collaborative initiatives in fields such as rehabilitation, smart textiles, and workplace wellness.
 
Areas of Focus and Innovative Products
The members of the "iVita" cluster develop products and services that meet the highest quality standards. For example, in the rehabilitation sector, the company "Ortopedijos technika" introduced functional orthopedic insoles and lightweight carbon fiber supports this year. In the health technology sector, "Vilimed" developed the unique non-invasive "Vilimball" device to reduce Parkinson’s disease symptoms, while "Zive" designed a smart Holter monitor for heart rate tracking.
In the field of biotechnology, "Bioremedium" stands out with its chronic wound treatment solutions, while "Fitodenta" offers alternatives for post-operative oral care. Meanwhile, in functional foods, innovative products such as collagen protein bars have been created.
 
International Collaboration
The "iVita" cluster actively collaborates with numerous health technology and medical clusters worldwide, including Belgium's "MEDVIA" Italy's "Clust-er Health" Ireland's "Connected Health and Wellbeing Cluster", Romania's "ROHEALTH" cluster, Greece's "The Hellenic BioCluster" (HBIO) and "The Hellenic Digital Health Cluster" (HDHC), Hungary's "Medicluster" and Bulgaria's "Digital Health and Innovation Cluster" (DHI). Each year, the cluster’s network expands through various initiatives and joint activities, contributing to the implementation of international projects and the attraction of funding.
 
Strategic Directions
The cluster's strategy focuses on fostering innovation, community development, and enhancing member competencies. Significant attention is also given to increasing the cluster’s international visibility, shaping policies, and advancing green technology solutions.
 
Collaboration with Enterprise Europe Network
"iVita" has been collaborating with the Enterprise Europe Network for several years. This partnership has contributed to the cluster’s international recognition, facilitated new connections, and supported successful project implementation. One notable achievement includes securing nearly €1 million in European funding to support the activities of cluster members.
 
Future Plans
Looking ahead, the "iVita" cluster aims to continue fostering innovation in the health sector, investing in green technologies, and strengthening international relationships. The cluster’s activities are geared toward sustainability and innovative solutions that create added value for both businesses and society.
