On April 3, 2017, De Futuro, coordinator of Health Technology Cluster iVita, started implementing the project “International Networking Gates to Germany” (InterGatesDE) under the Baltic Sea Region project BSR Stars measure Innovation Express. The project focuses on cooperation between members of Health Technology Cluster iVita and the German SME network InoSpeed.
The main goal of the project is to organize international meetings and working groups to encourage the exchange of advanced technologies and innovations between Lithuanian and German SMEs, promote networking, create a new international consortium, and jointly prepare an application for a new research project.
The cooperation will create opportunities to share experience in healthcare technologies, sports and science innovations, eHealth, and know-how between companies from Lithuania and Germany.
Project activities will include seminars and working group meetings, networking, technology and knowledge transfer, feasibility studies, and testing.
The first meetings took place in Lithuania on May 4–5, 2017. Participants included De Futuro representative Diana Vertelkienė, Baltec CNC Technologies representative G. Rimša, Lithuanian Sports University representative A. Mačiukas, Lithuanian Sports University Rector A. Ratkevičius, Prof. A. Stasiulius, and Augletics GmbH representatives F. Holstein and H. Jelsch.
During the meeting, project activities and planned tasks were discussed in detail. Augletics GmbH also provided De Futuro and the Lithuanian Sports University iPulsus studio with a rowing machine developed by the company for research and further product development.
The main purpose of the consultations was to identify possible research directions using the scientific potential and technical capabilities of the Lithuanian Sports University, in order to further develop the rowing machine and integrate training methodologies and testing procedures into its console. Agreements were also reached regarding technological work for further development of the rowing machine.
