On 16 September 2026, the third IRHIS project partners’ meeting took place in Sofia, Bulgaria. Coordinated by Health Technology Cluster iVita, the project team shared progress and discussed the next steps towards bringing health technologies closer to everyday healthcare.
IRHIS supports the development and wider adoption of remote healthcare innovations. Eight technologies are being demonstrated and refined across three interregional DemoScale Labs. Their activities focus on Joint Musculoskeletal Care Demonstration, Demonstrating Advanced Neurological Sensing and Treatment, and Critical Patient Condition Detection Tech Upscale. The project is funded under the European Union’s Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) Instrument.
One of the meeting’s key topics was how to prepare the solutions being tested within the project for wider use. Partners discussed their experience with technology testing, the use of collected data and the potential of artificial intelligence to improve the solutions. T
During the meeting, partners from different countries shared practical challenges and worked together to identify solutions. This collaboration is essential to ensuring that the technologies benefit healthcare professionals and patients and can be adopted across different countries.
The following day, IRHIS partners and DemoScale Lab participants continued their activities at THE HIVE 2026 innovation event in Sofia. They showcased their technological solutions, exchanged ideas and connected with the HealthTech community.
