Ortopedijos technika, the largest company in the Baltic States producing orthopaedic technical devices, is celebrating its 73rd anniversary. The company exports its products to 17 countries and has established the specialized store network Sveikatinė. This year, it plans its strongest growth and development in the medical services sector.

Serving more than 60,000 clients annually, the company has earned the trust of both patients and doctors.
The clinic brings together a highly qualified team of doctors, including paediatric and adult orthopaedic traumatologists, vascular surgeons, physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians, neurologists, endocrinologists, plastic and reconstructive surgeons, speech therapists, dermatovenerologists, proctologists, ultrasound specialists, radiologists, foot care specialists, and other professionals.
An even wider range of services
This year, dermatology and speech therapy services have been launched for both children and adults.
The newly opened children’s orthopaedics centre provides consultations and comprehensive treatment for children with poor posture, spinal deformities, foot problems, and conditions following injuries or surgeries.
The surgery department performs arthroscopic operations on the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, knee, ankle, and other joints, as well as foot correction surgeries. Laser technology is used to treat varicose veins. When needed, regenerative stem cell therapy is applied during surgical treatment. This innovative treatment process stands out for its natural approach and can almost double the speed of physiological healing and tissue regeneration mechanisms.
At the beginning of February, Ortopedijos technika clinic performed a unique arthroscopic decompression shoulder surgery for the first time in Lithuania, using the OrthoSpace InSpace biological implant. This is one of the latest minimally invasive technologies, enabling effective pain relief and restoration of shoulder function.

“We will continue working to ensure that the most advanced opportunities in modern medicine are accessible to Lithuanian patients. Our goal is always to be one step higher than we were yesterday,” said Rasa Petrikienė, Medical Director of Ortopedijos technika.
Advanced rehabilitation methods
“There is a well-known saying that all roads of injured athletes lead to Ortopedijos technika,” jokes Vytenis Trumpickas, Head of Outpatient Rehabilitation and physical medicine and rehabilitation physician. He explains: “Many athletes choose our clinic because of the qualifications and efficiency of our specialists. Here they receive complete service from start to finish: professional consultations, examinations, surgical treatment, and responsible care during rehabilitation. The same advanced rehabilitation methods are applied here as in leading American and European clinics: physiotherapy with modern equipment, pool exercises with treadmills, massage, and a wide range of physiotherapy options.”
Currently, basketball player Gediminas Orelik is undergoing rehabilitation at the clinic after a complex surgery. Recently, Lithuania’s most famous judo and sambo wrestler Santa Pakenytė also underwent surgery here – anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction after a knee injury.

For Žalgiris player Paulius Jankūnas, regenerative cell therapy – platelet-rich plasma injections – helped relieve pain caused by microtraumas. Today, this is one of the most popular methods for treating sports injuries, as it is safe, reliable, natural, and offers long-term effectiveness compared to chemical medicines.
For basketball player Edgaras Ulanovas, a custom-made transparent face shield produced by orthopaedic technicians allowed him to return to the court immediately after a nose injury and help his teammates fight for victory at full strength.
Therapeutic exercise now also available in the pool
In addition to standard physiotherapy procedures in the gym, therapeutic exercises are also performed in a vertical bath using modern underwater equipment, including a water bike, underwater treadmill, stretching platform, trapeze, and more.

The Ortopedijos technika pool is special because it uses an innovative and highly safe water filtration and chemical preparation system suitable for sensitive and allergic people, and even babies.
